Bark Vessel 2
Bark Vessel, 2 is a one-of-a-kind, handmade sculptural ceramic vase. It features sculpted bark that appears to overtake the vase. I'm interested in pushing the boundaries of what can be a bowl or vessel. The result is a functional sculpture.
I craft each piece individually, shaping it by hand. I then begin the back-and-forth process of sculpting the surface. I finish the surface using ceramic glazes and stains.
